I tend to watch a lot of movies. Contributor at Next Best Picture and AwardsWatch. Member of the Chicago Film Critics Association. Massive James Bond fan and Ben Whishaw fanatic. (he/him)
Harry Lighton was at my screening of Pillion last night, and he jokingly described the film as a BDSM version of Wallace and Gromit, which has fundamentally changed my perception of both the film and those characters.

I don’t need anymore information about this new movie called Someone’s Daughter because this image of François Arnaud already sold me a ticket.

WUTHERING HEIGHTS is a mixed bag of tones, at times gleefully steering into flamboyant excess but mostly a woefully uneven exercise. The crafts are garish yet captivating, but built around a shallow romance that struggles to feel emotionally satisfying. Inconsistently compelling.

To believe that Sinners was about to usurp One Battle for Best Picture/Director is to believe that people were looking for an excuse to abandon OBAA in the race, and I just had a hard time seeing where that evidence was coming from outside of the former's nomination overperformance.

Can’t believe there are people upset about a PTA Oscar sweep.

To the men with big chests and arms who wear compression shirts at the gym, thank you for your service.

Our society sucks so much. We’re at the mercy of a small collection of billionaires who are willing to make life demonstrably worse for us all just to squeeze out a little more money for themselves. All while keeping us overworked, poor and sick as they push out shittier products. Fucking disgusting

That Michael Jackson movie looks so unbelievably awful, and I'm one hundred percent convinced it's going to make a billion dollars.

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You is more of a comedy than Bugonia.

I do wonder if the Academy's new rule requiring voters to watch all nominees in a category will create a few smaller pools. Is everybody going to sit through The Ugly Stepsister to vote in Makeup? Are they watching Viva Verdi and the Dianne Warren doc to pick Best Original Song?

I want to rewatch a Catherine O’Hara movie but genuinely think I might cry.

I was a really big Markiplier fan at one point in my life, so I’ve been hearing about this Iron Lung movie for a long time. I don’t really watch him anymore, so it’s weird to not really be anticipating it. But very cool he’s finally getting to release it.
