Maria is one of hundreds of children, who — like Liam Ramos — have been held at a Texas detention facility where parents say children languish as they’re served contaminated food, receive little education and struggle to obtain basic medical care.

Here's our attempt at telling their stories. 2/
Children trapped in Texas immigration facility recount nightmares, inedible food, no school
A photo of Liam Conejo Ramos, a scared 5-year-old, drew attention to a detention center in Dilley, Texas. Advocates say his experience reflects what hundreds of children have endured out of public vie...

This is Maria, a 6-year-old detained by ICE last year.

She began to unravel soon after arriving at a detention center in Texas, wetting the bed after years without accidents, crying through the night and begging to breastfeed again.

Most of all, she wanted to be reunited with her cat, Milo. 1/

chad chotiner and virgin remnick
can't say which i find more appalling, remnick handing him a "fair enough" on the left and right being equally antisemitic or saying there was "no immigration policy" under dems. either way, super embarrassing for remnick to get steamrolled this hard by the right's pre-eminent midwit
In an interview with David Remnick, Ben Shapiro discusses his break with figures like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, and why he condemns President Trump as corrupt yet sticks with him. www.newyorker.com/news/the-new...

to be clear it's remnick who poses the border question this way! "i think we can agree there was no immigration policy- certainly no effective immigration policy when it came to the southern border- for far too long" is delusional

"Sure, ICE is bad, but we need to deport illegal immigrants"

No you don't.

If immigration enforcement leads to concentration camps and roving death squads, maybe it's time to just get rid of the concept of illegal immigration entirely. You've tried it, it's a bad idea in practice, so bin it.

Texan secession was for slavery. The war itself was principally fought to expand slavery. The expansion of slavery ultimately triggered the civil war, killing ~700,000 people. (The war may have been inevitable though). It’s insanely racist to commemorate the war this way.

In EoO, Bad Bunny sings about hooking up with a woman who just turned 30. This is at least 15 years too old for conservative men to still be interested. Thats why they invited Kid “some call it statutory / I say it’s mandatory” Rock to preform the alternate half time show

I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

one batshit guy with fox news brain worms. And every 3 or 4 months he writes a bulletin column that is so fucking awful I consider not being catholic anymore.

I think we’d both be a lot happier if he stopped doing parish ministry

The number of billionaires actually directly implicated is fairly low compared to the outer circles of hangers-on and climbers trying to connect to him. Epstein himself is dead. Prince Andrew and Trump are ancient. A rational conservative would cur their losses.

UNLESS!
raise your hand if you are not, in fact, in the Epstein files
