For psychologists and psychiatrists reading papers on FEP, Shannon's entropy, etc. Yes, there are different kinds of entropy, however, this intro is a much better simplification than simply "measure of disorder."

"Our self-domestication might have potentiated the cognitive features of the human phenotype with an impact on language acquisition & use. It might have facilitated the creation of the cultural niche that favors the complexification of languages via a cultural mechanism."

I think this is in conflict with the scientific evidence about a lateralized linguistic network in the brain that leads to aphasia after brain lesions. The discussion about boundaries is valuable, of course. But we should acknowledge that some brain areas contribute to language only indirectly
🗣️ Language is widely distributed throughout the brain 🧠

In a recent correspondence in @natrevneurosci.bsky.social, we suggest that there is no 'language network' in the brain. What appears as such is an inevitable illusion created in part by the methods we use.

What about these functional gradients in cerebral cortex? From perceptual to executive memory, from sensori-motor to semantic/conceptual memory? Do you find this map to be consistent with clinical facts and neurocognitive research?
