I just spent a few hours editing a ppt only to not click "save" on exit b/c I thought it was auto-saving like it does my other ppts...except this was in compatibility mode?? so it's in my onedrive and I can open and edit it but I have to save it as a new file if I want my changes to stick...........

thought: we have a responsibility to return student essays in a timely manner so they can study them for the final. however...if most of them are using ey-ai (inappropriately) to write them then it doesn't matter if we give them back b/c they won't be able to take the feedback and apply it 1/

it's interesting how jpn will change vocab for things and it's not wrong but just uncommonly used, I feel. like duffel bags are boston bags, wool overshirts/shirt jackets are cpo jackets (chief petty officer jackets), etc.

oh my god I always thought it was dumb how the text highlight in ppt was limited to a set of garish colors but if you can set a color as a "recent color" (from shapes > eyedropper) then it lets you highlight w/ any color from the "recent colors" section!!!! 🤯

I got a new student yesterday and omg I just realized she REALLY looks like a celebrity I've seen before but I can't put my finger on who!! the student is japanese but the celebrity is indian, I think, and I've definitely seen her in some american reality shows...

I wish word would just tell me what the formatting of a particular section is b/c why can I type it and not fck it up but I try to paste a singular symbol and it reacts like it's an emu and I just shot at it
