Find answers that have nothing to do with appearance.
Put 1 hand on your heart and 1 on your lower abdomen, and genuinely give thanks to your body. Feel how it responds.

Just like any complex disorder, the symptom is just the tip of the iceberg.
You will never take it down by only focusing on its tip, you must swim down to the base and disarm it there with love, acceptance, and our bodies’ natural healing processes
Food, sadness and guilt: how do anorexia patients and clinicians feel about supported mealtimes? https://buff.ly/3WaIU5u

This review highlights the emotional complexity of mealtime support, and suggests standardising mealtime protocols and enhancing clinician training to foster understanding.

1. Don’t feel guilty
Overeating happens to us all, & a couple weeks of over-indulgence doesn’t define you
Treat your body with kindness - don't tie its worth to how it looks but what it does for you. Thank it for carrying you where you need to go, allowing you to dance, and to cuddle your loved ones

If I know why I feel bad, I’ll work on processing my feelings through #journaling, talking etc.

But what if it’s just a #badday?

Here are some things what work for me when #PMS, #hanger, or other emotional irritants get the bad side of me:

Asking yourself this throughout the year is another great way to make sure you stay on track with your chosen direction.

Traditional #NewYear’s resolutions often fail because they’re rigid.
What if, instead, you set a direction—an #intention that acts like a compass for your year?

There’s a Black Moon tonight 🌚
This means a powerful moment of #rebirth in the cycles of nature.
This makes this New Year a particularly potent #cosmic moment for a fresh start.
Here’s a #psychology approved #ritual to make the most of the occasion:

Mine is: Rest isn’t always about doing less. Sometimes it’s about processing and sharing your emotions AS you go through the shitstorm.

No judgement if scrolling is what you need to switch off today - I might be online too!

Just a reminder to see if there isn’t a better way for you to clear your mind or reset your nervous system

The concept of #selfcare was invented by an Afro-American lesbian and #activist, promoting it as an act of #resistance and a tool for you to be able to support your community - #AudreLorde.

Spring: the Follicular Phase
Rebirth. After your bleed, you feel renewed, open, excited, energetic. The flowers are blooming within you and you want to love and share and create.

This is a great time for creativity, invention, taking on new projects, and meeting new people.

When I tried a 5-minute #icebath, my #brain shut down and I felt stoned in the water.
When I got out, I couldn't speak for a good 30 minutes, during which I burst into inexplicable #tears.
It was #liberating. #Therapeutic. It helped me get the sleep I had been lacking that day.
But, even though

How we mistake #avoidance for #spiritual #growth

Have you heard of #spiritualbypassing?
It's when we use spiritual beliefs or practices to avoid difficult #emotions, unresolved wounds, or uncomfortable truths, instead of embracing and #accepting those experiences as a part of ourselves.

Are you Taking Care of Everyone Else… but Forgetting Yourself?

I get it. you’re so focused on helping your clients, your partners, your friends... It lights you up, so you send all that energy outwards. We’ve all forgotten to prioritise ourselves at some point in our careers.

Let the world's largest iceberg inspire you: Even after spending months spinning in the same spot, you too can become unstuck.

Before you let go, ask: Have I finished digesting this?
Letting “it” go too soon sends it into your unconscious, making it darker, where it unintentionally harms you.
With #PEAT we find the parts of you that are buried deep, get to know them, give them clarity, & let them dissolve naturally.

What are my priorities this winter, and what can I let go of until I have more energy?

YES!

“the risks of not self-diagnosing – such as lack of adequate support – greatly outweigh the risks of self-diagnosing.”

Let’s reduce the moral panic around self-diagnosis and focus more on keeping online information as accurate as possible, shall we?
Is ADHD-related content we see on TikTok accurate? Should we be concerned about rising rates of ADHD self-diagnosis?

At Science or Fiction Podcast's first live show, experts in the field of #ADHD answered these questions and more. Check out Chloe's blog:
