A friend and colleague of mine today, who could tell I wasn't myself, reminded me that adversity can be channeled into rocket fuel for growth. They were absolutely right. Stay tuned.

I'm all for those who are able to come to their senses through evidence and the forgiveness that follows, but let's not forget MTG ridiculed kids directly part of school shootings, calling them "crisis actors", among many other transgressions.

Can we just be clear that the Epstein saga is a completely bipartisan situation? I don't care if Mother Theresa were alive and in the files - if you have credible information on her being in there, release it all, lock her up, and throw away the key. This isn't difficult.

Having just completed a trip to the UK, allow me to say that it has never been clearer to me that the 50% of the American public haven't the slightest clue about universal healthcare and other public services. Americans are blatantly and obviously BEING LIED TO on these topics and it's infuriating.

I don't listen to much Harris anymore as I find his "enlightened centrism" approach to progressive politics annoying but he's spot on with this: www.youtube.com/shorts/_0GAF.... I read a post once about how if I were Musk wealthy, I would literally be Batman. Homelessness? Not on my watch!

In light of the BBC getting caught editing Trump footage to make him say something he didn't explicitly say about Jan 6, I' reminded that you could completely remove Jan 6 and all the wrongdoing of that day and you'd still be left with literally hundreds of objective truths regarding Trump's evil.

As a Chipotle junkie, let me just say that it's almost as if my $8 steak bowl and $2 chips with salsa from a decade ago becoming $25 in 2025 isn't working out. Maybe constant, gradual price increases over multiple years isn't a winning strategy...

A judge's home just burned to the ground due to an "explosion". This after ruling against Trump's effort to acquire sensitive voting data from her state. While it could be coincidence, retaliatory, administration-led arson or arson at the hands of a crazed, gaslit follower are equally concerning.

The likelihood of our American populace buying into the lie of a "Democratic" shutdown while MAGA has complete control of the entire government should be a wake up call that that they are being religiously lied to. It won't be.

Perhaps the best and most succinct point illustrating just how ridiculous and sad our situation with the current administration is in the US.

Anyone care to take the challenge? Anyone?

While there's practically nothing the Kirk's and I would agree on, Erika has a significant opportunity to lower the national temperature and provide much needed healing right now. Her forgiveness of her husband's murderer, while it may have come across as performative to many, could be the start.

While I never would condone gun violence and sincerely hope the shooter faces justice, Charlie Kirk's legacy of being adamantly pro-gun and anti-regulation, partnered with his many inflammatory comments around school shootings and gun-related deaths, will obviously conflict many - as it should.

Can someone in this administration, for the love of god, please explain what crimes Kilmar Garcia is guilty of AND provide clear evidence beyond a blatantly photoshopped image of his hand? Please? Just once?

To be clear, those celebrating Trump's obvious health issues are entirely missing the point. While it's obvious Trump intends to hold power forever, the larger objective doesn't require him. The moment he's gone, Vance will be deemed ready and fascism will continue in full force.

Here's my take on the state of America right now. Democracy in a traditional sense is officially OVER unless something truly miraculous occurs. The '26 midterms are already being rigged. Blatant gerrymandering in Texas is just a start and will apply to every red/purple state before Q2 2026.
August 25, 2025 at 4:50 PM
There's a small part of me that acknowledges the vast amount of low information and low critical thinking Americans voting, which means democracy is fundamentally flawed, but let's be very clear: the answer is not authoritarian takeover. It's better access to information and improved communication.

Let me clear something up that seems to not be obvious for some on the right. We want the Epstein files out because it contains sex traffickers and pedophiles - not because Trump is listed a lot. I don't care if Obama was in there. Throw everyone who harms children into jail and melt the keys.

I think it's fair to claim that we no longer live in a democracy and, instead, now live under fascism. A military parade for the president's birthday, an upcoming military takeover of DC, military deployment to California to invite violence, egregious gerrymandering of Texas. It's over, folks.

It's surreal to me that Americans are fine burning many thousands of dollars annually for their insurance premiums plus all the out of pocket expenses for healthcare yet balk at slightly higher taxes to put the health insurance industry out of business and make healthcare free. Mind boggling.

What a blatantly obvious attempt to draw attention away from the Epstein/Trump relationship. The Obamas OOZE class and dignity. While they didn't do this, even were they to have done so it would have been 100% warranted to stop our current idiot from taking office.

I've now made it a point to block all videos, media, etc that try and sensationalize nothingburgers and drive outrage when it is painfully obvious that MAGA now controls America. YouTube videos that capitalize key words to drive clicks and outrage.

Not that it needs saying because it's so obvious, but Trump and many of this administration were on the Epstein list. Bondi saw it, tried to redact the hell out of it. Then it was decided to be too risky and damaging to release so here we are.

Trickle down economics, which we are now going to be trying yet again, doesn't work and has never worked. Study after study has shown this. The "trick" in trickle is making people believe enriching the ultra wealthy will somehow thicken their own wallets.
