I got to jump in on the Laravel Advent fun and showcase one of the many underdogs in the Laravel ecosystem:

Folio.

Folio is page-based routing, great for marketing pages and other sections of your Laravel app, to go from nothing to something incredibly fast.

How can you look back and be thankful for the times you said yes?

Today’s episode was for me most of all.

This clip is from yesterday's thoughts, but this morning's thoughts are out on all the podcast platforms now.

Maybe tomorrow you can do the same. ☺️

Take the first 10 minutes of your day, before you do anything else, and just write.

Or, in my case, write by talking.

It's helped me frame my mindset for the day. It's helped me feel more productive. It's helped me hate mornings a little less.

Today's episode out now.

I like that this is a way for me to experiment with my website as well. I want to turn this into a written blog and maybe automate that process.

But for now, you can find the audio blog and notes in podcast format:

I'm trying something new.

I've never been good at writing but I like talking through topics on my mind.

So I figured I would create my own "audio blog" of sorts.

It's a different side of me. The topics might be all over the place. But it's me.

Good maker's morning.

What a bunch of quality releases. 😮‍💨
I promised another thread with Inertia.js updates, so here it is! 💪

Let's kick things off with the Laravel adapter, which now includes two new interfaces ⬇️

TLDW: even in a world where it comes down to your preferences of LLM over the tool that helps you interact with said LLM, I think Cursor is falling behind (at least in the additive AI tooling space).

Claude Code or OpenCode (from SST crew) is a much better, complete option IMO.

I’ve been using Claude Code as my main AI coding tool for the past 4+ months.

So when I saw Cursor announced their CLI tool, I was intrigued.

But is it good enough (or different enough) to not use something like OpenCode or Claude Code?

I made a video about it.

Cursor is falling behind
Cursor has a CLI now? But is it enough to compete against some of the better CLI agent experiences out there like Claude Code or OpenCode? I don't know. What...

I'm one to always find a path, process, shortcut, or automation to save me time in almost every single aspect of my life except for two things.

1. Family.
2. Learning.

It's just not worth it.

I talked to a lot of people at Laracon.

Almost everyone said the SAME THING about why they come back (or why they already know they'll be back).

So I made a video talking about it (and some of my favorite things announced at Laracon 👀)

hint: so many things.

As someone who loves Livewire, I often hear from folks new to the Laravel ecosystem (or curious about it) what they THINK Livewire is and what problems it solves.

But usually there are some things they get wrong.

So I made a video about three things Laravel Livewire is NOT.

Thanks Clay! It’s been a blast actually using AI without having to fight with it ha!
