The Trump admin’s position is, not only that it’s illegal to protest with a holstered firearm (it’s not), but also that you deserve to get shot for it (you don’t).

A mere eight days ago, Trump said that Canada should sign a trade deal with China as it’s in their best interests. Today, Trump threatened to hit Canada with a 100% tariff if Canada enters into a trade deal with China. I cannot stress enough how much we desperately need a legislative branch.

We shouldn’t nominate someone who has never had to persuade a moderate voter. Elections in purple or red states show whether candidates appeal to the middle. If we pick from a deep blue state, we risk everything on a hope and a prayer that the general electorate will mirror the primary electorate.
