My book is out!

It’s a monthly account of a year inside the condor program at Pinnacles NP. If you’re curious about what it’s like to restore California condors, this book is for you.

Wonderfully illustrated, 40+ photos, all proceeds go to the Pinnacles Condor Fund!

Pretty sure I’ve never won a chess match and honestly, I’d probably lose to a chimpanzee.

If Burgum’s cancelling leases of people who have followed the law, abided by the terms of the lease, and faithfully made payments, then I’m sure he was absolutely outraged by Malheur and the Bundy situation.

Isn’t one Trump Baby enough?!?

Maybe Jon Voight will give Trump his Academy Award, and if Caitlyn Jenner won’t part with her gold medal, Trump might confiscate it.

I honestly do believe the Giants are trying to compete neck and neck with the Dodgers: they’re vowing to keep their payroll as high as the Dodgers CBT penalty!

Young condor #1261 landed in a tree just above me but evidently decided she didn’t like the company! (Pinnacles NP).

San Benito County: CTS, Spadefoots, ensatina/Monterey salamander, arboreal salamander.
Good luck; hope you come across those red-legs!

Ah yes, the Baker thermometer.

I rolled into town one June evening at 10 pm, desperate for a motel. The thermometer read an ungodly 92 degrees. Finally found a room, but the AC wouldn’t work.

Good times!

Ramen?! That’s me playing Twister amongst bacon strips!

Just read that the Dodgers CBT penalty for last year was $169M.

That’s damn near the Giants current payroll.

At this point, any talk of a rivalry is just marketing.

Hell yes.

I saw the light years ago.

Zappa fans- can we still be friends?

Hallmark subgenre: plucky American whisked off to obscure, vaguely British monarchy in an alpine setting to help a handsome prince set to enter an ill-fitting prearranged marriage for the good of the commonwealth.
They fall in love and survive the ensuing scandal to become the Royal Couple.

I always said that if Hollywood Squares was still around that if you offered him the center square he might be persuaded to let go of the presidency.

That said, he’s no Paul Lynde.

Didn’t he challenge Mark Zuckerberg to some kind of combat a few years back only to have his mother squelch the plan?
December 21, 2025 at 4:56 PM
So he died in California?

I got a better suggestion for his remains: feed him to the condors.

To claim you’re building a team around pitching and defense while being reluctant to pay for pitching tells me you’re not serious about winning.
December 19, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Are you trying to tell us that, against the Dodgers, he pitches more like Doogie Howser?

The last song on my album “Drowning on Dry Land,” a hopeful song about a relationship overcoming time and distance.

Give it a listen on your streaming service of choice.
(If you listen to the whole album I earn four cents!!)
