Only on chapter 3 and I’m resolved to read more Baldwin immediately. This book is beautiful and fearless. To know it came out in 1956 still boggles my mind. I think it was the perfect choice for the start of my queer book club. Required queer reading imo.

Sitting here in listening to my PSY 101 lecture wondering whether I tell my professor, who is also a friend, that the two studies she's starting her class with (Standford Prison and Kitty Genevese bystander effect) are not as psychology textbooks present them and are basically debunked.

Oh lord. I'm taking Psych 101 finally, I've avoided it for like 10 years, but my time has come. I've read like 2 modules of the syllabus and see my professor wants me to read like three case studies that I happen to believe are misrepresented and I consider debunked. This is going to go swimmingly.
