The best thing about supporting United is you never know what will happen next. The worst thing about supporting United is you never know what will happen next.
Amad and Garnacho on the right hand side should be fun.

Don't understand briefing stuff like this. Ratcliffe says he wants Utd to be better sellers. But repeatedly telling everyone we're in such a financial mess that we'll sell anyone will just encourage clubs to lowball offers for players we genuinely do want to offload.
🚨 Manchester United will reluctantly consider sale of homegrown talents like Kobbie Mainoo + Alejandro Garnacho to help comply with financial rules . #MUFC not actively looking to trade pair but neither untouchable if suitable offers arrive 🚨

Why Manchester United would consider selling Mainoo and Garnacho if the price was right
Selling a homegrown player would help Manchester United's financial situation, with both players unlikely to be short of suitors

Rangnick & ETH away PL record to ‘big 6’

3 points won out of 39

Conceded 42 in 13 games

City 1-4, 3-6, 1-3
Liverpool 0-4, 0-7, 0-0
Arsenal 1-3, 2-3, 1-3
Chelsea 1-1, 3-4
Spurs 2-2, 0-2

Amorim taken 4 pts out of 9 so far

Best part was coming back after going behind rather than crumble, and still going for the win when it was 2-2, rather than clinging on. Amorim has talked endlessly about being brave, and there were signs today.

Whatever happens second half, you can see the plan, the structure, the coaching, and what we're building towards. Main positive today so far.

Hope I'm wrong but that quote about insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results comes to mind.

Not the formation but Dalot and Mazaroui as wing backs again, and Martinez ahead of Yoro.
🚨📰 UNITED'S TEAM TO FACE LIVERPOOL IS IN!

Thoughts, Reds? 💭

Win rates in the Premier League this season:

Liverpool 76%
Chelsea 55%
Arsenal 53%
Manchester City 44%

For Arsenal to hit 90 points, they'll need to win ~90% of their remaining matches.

Those Rashford comments Not only sounds like he's leaving but also that he might know when. To be talking and thinking about the manner of his departure suggests plans are perhaps more advanced than we thought.

think this is a much more open world championship than people assume. there's probably going to be another bonfire of the seeds in round two (11/32 went out last year). then you have a wildly uneven draw (five of the six major title holders in the top half). weird things are going to happen

Ratcliffe must have known this was coming when he talked to Andy Mitten mid week. Must have known this whole thing l, a huge mistake by him, was about to cost the club millions, while defending massive ticket price rises to "increase club profits". He is absolutely shameless.

Took 5 months to get Ashworth, we didn't have him in place to assess ETH so they extended his contract instead of firing him. Then sack ETH months later. Ashworth goes after just 5 months. Total cost at least £25m.

Meanwhile Ratcliffe increases ticket prices to "maximise profits".

The reaction to rainbow armbands is so depressing. There needs to be an education in clubs. It's just solidarity. That's all. That people shouldn't be persecuted. Wearing a rainbow isn't saying 'This is my culture' or 'This is my lifestyle'. It's just saying let people live their lives and feel safe

Good point from Laurie Whitwell about why Zirkzee might make sense tonight because Arsenal's CBs like to be very tight to the CF. Hojlund will get entangled in those battles but Zirkzee will drag them into different areas & create space for Rashford, etc.

Liverpool have been very good but I bet this has been Liverpool's easiest game so far. City are woeful
1-0 Liverpool - a goal that wasn't so much coming as was hurtling down the tracks at top speed.

Two superb passes, but Salah's ball is divine. Love those sort of deliveries.

So many positives from today but the main one is that it's enjoyable to watch Utd again.

Looks like it’s Zirkzee up front with Rashford on the right based on the warm-up drills

Happy with that. Plenty to improve on but clear signs of the plan. Players are adapting to the system and despite the flaws in performance, we look coherent and organised. And we're pretty fun to watch again.

Obviously there is a lot to work on...but I always said I just want to see we're building towards something. And even this early on, you can see it. It's going to be bumpy and take time, but you can see the long term plan and how effective it will be eventually.
