Why does the media insist on constantly trying to make Bronny James a story? We all know he isn’t good enough for the NBA and he’s only with the Lakers because his dad wants him there. That is basically the only story.
Cooper Flagg vs. Bronny James.

Vegas got what it wanted and Dallas got the win — despite how the No. 1 pick felt about his performance.

WWE spelled “competing” as “competeing” in their John Cena promo chron on Saturday Night’s Main event. Come on, man! It’s easy to see why Cena turned on us. No respect.

The gang landscape has changed quickly significantly by 1979 in New York City when the much-lauded documentary The Warriors was released.
This is incredible (and was really printed in the NYT in 1974)

It’s kinda fun being in a rare position as a Philadelphia sports fan where my football team is literally the envy of other organizations. A franchise so successful other less successful teams want to change the rules because they are not talented enough to stop a basic football play.

Is Cooper Flagg bound for Dallas? 🤔

Still boggles my mind people are shocked teams passed on this dude until the fifth round. They clearly think his talent isn’t worth the baggage that will come from his high profile and approach to his career. He might prove people wrong but if he doesn’t, man will the haters rejoice.
From @theathletic.bsky.social: One team executive summed up Shedeur Sanders' draft slide this way: “I believe Shedeur approached these visits with teams as a recruiting trip versus a job interview.”

ESPN Analysts like Kiper are paid to promote a narrative, not provide actual objective coverage or analysis.
ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. had been an outspoken advocate for Shedeur Sanders throughout the draft’s first two days.

He continued to voice his displeasure on Saturday, getting into a heated debate with his ESPN colleagues in the process.

From the barrage of media on this you’d think the only focus of the NFL draft was a mid-level QB with a potential long-term upside. But then you consider how far down the tubes the national sports media has gone in the last 20 years and it all makes sense.
Shedeur Sanders’s plummet through the NFL draft finally ended Saturday.

The Cleveland Browns selected Sanders with the sixth pick of the fifth round, the 144th overall choice in the draft.

The irony here is millennials have way more in common with Boomers than Gen Xers.
The great thing about being born is 1980 is that I get to swap my genx card out for a millennial card the moment everyone realizes genx is going to be just as selfish and nasty as the boomers were.

The Eagles are the only team that consistently makes this play work. It’s not their fault teams can’t stop it, despite having multiple seasons to adjust to it. Teams like Green Bay don’t have the talent to beat the Eagles, so they try to change the rules. Won’t matter anyway, Green Bay is a fraud

Seems odd to blame the coach when the franchise appears incapable of putting a winning product on the ice. Time to look in the mirror and see who the real problem is. It’s institutional for the Flyers at this point.
The Flyers have fired head coach John Tortorella after 2+ seasons at the helm, the team announced.

Tortorella failed to make the playoffs in Philly, posting a cumulative 97-107-33 record.

Watching the SEC exposed as an overrated fraud in basketball (as they were in football) is very cathartic. But it doesn’t change the fact the SEC has bribed the college sports establishment (mainly ESECPN) to rig the process. That they have 14 teams in this tourny is all the proof you need.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has discussed the open head coaching role with Colorado coach Deion Sanders.

No interview has been scheduled, but there is mutual interest in keeping the dialogue open, according to a league source.
