Gender politics aside, unisex single-use restrooms are great. At home, if a friend was visiting and we walked into the bathroom together with one of us doing our thing while the other groomed in a mirror patiently waiting their turn, it would be awkward AF. Yet this is expected when we’re out. Why?

Thank you, @runwayml.bsky.social for adding the 4k upscale. It’s saving me a ton of time not having to upscale locally. Also Gen 4 Turbo is a great step beyond Gen 3. It’s maybe the first time my $1k per year spend felt really worth it.

I think it was a really telling moment when Vance mentioned Zelensky “backing the opposition”. We know what this is about. War and international diplomacy are complicated. Trump and Vance are not.

In my lifetime, never been more embarrassed about my country’s leadership than now, despite years as mass shooting capital of the developed world. Russia started the war. Ukraine’s leaders, fighters, & citizens are heroes of democracy. We’re now on the wrong side of this. #ukraine #ukrainewar

It just hit me that one of my recent favorite bands, Metz, has so much in common with some of the harder tracks from My Bloody Valentine. Has to be some influence there.

Looking more like #DeepSeek app could be banned. Not too quickly because these sorts of things don’t typically go that way, but still might be good (and better for your privacy anyway) to learn one of the several ways to run distilled & uncensored versions of it locally if you have a capable GPU.

Thanks, I just did some reading up on this, including instructions for setting up a PDS. The barrier to entry (dedicated server being one) is probably such that most users won’t do it. So while technically it can be decentralized for a set of users, the vast majority are on Bluesky Social’s, right?

I am a progressive in FL and a huge DeSantis detractor for many reasons. With that said, he’s considerably more qualified than Hegseth (almost any state governor would be). One benefit of this pick is if he took it, he would no longer be our governor. I don’t see him taking it. He loves his fiefdom.

I really like #Bluesky but I see people referring to it as decentralized. According to Wikipedia, it is a for-profit PBC. Open Source is not the same thing as decentralized. Another company you may know that is (or will be) a PBC is OpenAI. Another company that largely open sources their tech … FB.

It’s a harmful ingredient in most cases but I don’t know about banning it. Awareness and informed consumption could move the market. They use it because it is cheap. People willfully poison with alcohol and we don’t ban it. Arsenic however, we do. Standards can change through established process.

Agreed, I am a Biden advocate and this pardon was not a good thing. It’s justifiable but it doesn’t mean it was good.

Thinking about doing sort of an old school music video show where I play the VJ role. It would be focused on newer edgy artists, mixed with classic synth/dark wave, death rock, post punk, etc. Feels like there is a void where you can hear the vj talk about the tracks and share news about artists.
