Lots of excellent work being done for seniors across Canada by my former boss @stephaniemclean.bsky.social
Seniors deserve security and support.

Budget 2025 is investing in stronger fraud protections, better community programs, and new support for those who care for our seniors. Our government is building safer, more supportive communities for seniors right here in Whitby.

Just walked out of my last class of the day to find Dallas Brodie and her band of residential school denialists harassing TRU students, including blocking an accessible exit on campus, to try and force students to interact with them.

So life long federal liberal here, but when @chrisdentremontmp.bsky.social first ran for the conservative nomination, I was the Deputy Campaign Manager for my friend Hannah who ran against him (she is a veteran, buisnesswoman, and former municipal Councillor).

I’m happy to share that I’ve been appointed as the Youth Representative of @centrebc.bsky.social to help form the Young Centrists of British Columbia, ensure a strong youth voice within the party, and elect a CentreBC government at the next election. If you are interested, please message me!

One of the many reasons I love the CBC, publicly funded to work for the public.

Three times in the past two weeks, editorials at the 'Washington Post' failed to disclose that they focused on matters in which owner Jeff Bezos had a material interest.

I dare the other parties to bring down the Carney government. I know Liberals across Canada are ready to go to deliver a strong majority whenever the election is called so that the PM can continue delivering for Canadians. #bringiton

Congratulations to @jeromyyyc.bsky.social on being Elected Mayor of Calgary. He and I first met 11 years ago at the Summer Institute for Future Legislators, (left hand side, we are both in red ties) where he and I ran against each other to become speaker of the house (he won lol)

John Rustad clearly has a problem with strong women who challenge him. British Columbians deserve a leader who respects women and their unique experiences and ideas, and then finds ways to elevate their voice in policy debates. @karinkirkpatrick.bsky.social is that leader.
NEW - Penticton-Summerland MLA Amelia Boultbee has quit the BC Conservative caucus. Boultbee says John Rustad is running the party into the ground and needs to resign. #bcpoli

A great move to keep Canadians safe
Canada’s bail and sentencing laws are about to get a lot tougher.

We’re amending the Criminal Code to help keep violent criminals and repeat offenders off our streets, and we’re introducing stronger sentences for auto-theft, organised crime, and home invasion.

Last week, Mark Carney announced three key measures from our upcoming Budget to empower Canadians with lower costs and new opportunities to help you get ahead.

I am probably the only NBA fan excited for Kings games this year, and I do not care.
BREAKING: Nine-time NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook has agreed on a deal to sign with the Sacramento Kings, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management tells ESPN. The 2017 league MVP enters his 18th NBA season.

Terrible result for Liberals in Newfoundland, but honestly I had this weird gut feeling like I did with Nova Scotia in 2021 that it was gonna swing against us. Liberals/Centrists must always remain sensible, but we also cannot forget to be bold in outlining a better future for provinces and Canada.

The BC Conservatives should be up ten points on the NDP, but they are not because they are an incompetent political party, led by an incompetent man. @centrebc.bsky.social is already out organizing them, in large part thanks to the thoughtful leadership of @karinkirkpatrick.bsky.social
When Canadian Press reporter Wolfgang Depner asked Rustad if he was paranoid, Rustad said no. While the scrum was still underway Rustad’s chief of staff, Brad Zubyk, called it a “bullshit question” and said the reporter would be barred from asking questions in the future. thetyee.ca/News/2025/10...

Chris Barber and Tamara Lich both should have received the longest sentences possible. Instead they get to go home and keep promoting misinformation. Hopefully the Crown will appeal and the Court of Appeal increases their sentences. #cdnpoli

Still get asked a lot about what is the secret to winning an election?

The secret is that there is no secret, just knock on doors and listen.
A big thank you to the volunteers who joined us all across Canada for this weekend’s Days of Action.

You are at the heart of our work to build Canada Strong.

An important warning from a brilliant woman. May Jane Goodall rest in peace and her legacy live on.

Jane Goodall, one of the most influential environmental figures in human history, has died at 91 while touring the country to deliver an urgent message about nature and human existence.

“We’re destroying the planet,” she said last week during the Forbes Sustainability Leaders Summit in NYC.
