Gavin Newsom is far from perfect, but our climate can’t wait for perfect leaders.

Gavin Newsom gave this powerful introduction at #COP30 stating that California remains committed to a renewable energy green growth economy.

It's clear from today's AP photos that Trump has entirely demolished the East Colonnade—added to the White House by Thomas Jefferson in 1805—and restored by Theodore Roosevelt in 1902.

The East Colonnade didn't occupy the footprint of the Trump "ballroom"—its demolition was completely unnecessary.

Careful dissection revealed a stunning five groove moulding, & an old cut out section (for a 1960’s door bell?) that had been blathered with filler. All now revealed.

Just a reminder

On July 30, 1863, the russian empire issued the Valuev Circular - a secret decree that banned most publications in Ukrainian.
Religious and educational books? Forbidden.
Only fiction was allowed and even that under censorship.

This ban stayed in place until the empire fell in 1917.

I spent last week learning to clay plaster in this Ecococon house. It's very labour intensive to do it this way. I discussed with architect Peter (also on the course) how to speed it up. He suggested spraying, and I thought maybe applying plaster by machine in the factory before assembly.
