Agree with Erica Jeal’s review of the new Tetzlaff Elgar/Adès disc. The Adès is building a significant & deserved discography. The Elgar is quite unlike any other performance I’ve heard - urgent, assertive, at times almost ugly. Not the only way but v glad I’ve heard it.

Agree with Erica Jeal’s review of the new Tetzlaff Elgar/Adès disc. The Adès is building a significant & deserved discography. The Elgar is quite unlike any other performance I’ve heard - urgent, assertive, at times almost ugly. Not the only way but v glad I’ve heard it.
