If anyone has access to loads of money, Johnny and I want to make a motion picture that will invoke so much working class consciousness and bring the Black Country to the world.
'Rouse ye, Women' (2027) - a film about the 1910 Cradley Heath Chainmaker's Strike. Directed by Johnny Rudge. Casting by Rob Edwards. A Boy Quest Production.

If Murphy's starts appearing places on the bar or in small pack I will be absolutely buying a tonne of it for nostalgia reasons alone.
The Old Man used to always have four cans of this in the fridge when I was growing up.
I predicted the Murphy's revival about 18 months' ago. Presumably I get some sort of prize? 🧐

Good morning.

This morning's coffee brewing was soundtracked by Kaleidoscope World by The Chills.

Been on the list for a long old time but finally got round to it.

Pour over coffee (a Kenyan micro lot bean I'm currently still dialling in - an expensive hobby I certainly didn't fucking need) and an hour until I have to do anything.

Let's get stuck in.

The 1910 Women Chainmakers Strike in Cradley.

The cast would mainly be made up of black country women since it is tough to trust actors with the dialect.
If Saoirse Ronan could manage it (she obviously could) she would be a shoo-in.
“If you could make a movie about anything, what would it be and who would star in it?”

The Daniel Morgan murder. Andrew Garfield would play Daniel alongside a cast of well loved English character actors. Pugh would be in there somewhere obvs. Probably Hugh Grant. Ralph Fiennes, you get the idea.

To misquote Tom Green in his Subway Mo key Hour Special:
"Why don't you have anything to drink? Choose mild, making you better feeling."
Everyone should have some mild
We should have some mild

Haven't been to Manchester for a year or so so putting it out here in the hope of some recommendations for lovely places to scran if possible?
Nothing super fancy, just somewhere nice for my sister in law and her two mates to eat some good food.

Good job I'm half a Sonoma keg (and a bottle of The Kernel 1880 Bitter) deep because I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the emotional maelstrom that is the first game after Carlos has gone and then the joy of Chris Brunt being in the dugout.
