Rob continues to relentlessly enrich my feed with interesting JS/TS stuff. Being plugged into what Rob is sharing keeps me educated and I'm grateful to him for it ♥️

Bumped into my German neighbour. She told me that when she was a little girl, they'd go into the woods on Christmas Eve. They'd cut down a tree and drag it home. Then they would mount lit candles on it and sit back and enjoy it. Health and safety be damned, I want this 🎄🪓🕯️

Finally getting into openapi-ts.dev/openapi-fetch/ and it's awesome! However I'm discovering that the default open API schema that ASP.NET surfaces doesn't lend itself to TypeScript client generation. Currently fiddling with schema generators, but I think this is going to end well 🤞

Now at Nantes airport heading home. Tragically foot and mouth disease prohibits transporting my wife's favourite foodstuff rillettes back home. She ate all she could at breakfast and offered the rest to the hotel staff only to discover they were that rarest of Venn diagrams: French and vegetarian

I would actually add one tip, which is hidden in the first sentence: if you have the chance, host a meetup. It gives you regular practice by doing the event moderation. Further: really helps to build a network outside of your bubble.
