For those affected by the npm security related token changes, it looks like cli support for fine grained access tokens should ship before the end of the year

AI tools are awesome. However they are a travelator; if you're going in a good direction you'll get there faster, if you're going in a poor direction, you'll crash into a wall with AI powered abandon

It's now possible to deploy a custom domain in a single deployment with @azurecontainerapps.io - you can read details on how in this (old and updated) blog post:

It's quite frustrating that npm does nothing to surface if a package is being published using trusted publishing. There's no information in the CI terminal, there's no information on npm's website for a given package. All you can do is not supply the npm token.. [1/2]

@azurecontainerapps.io has long had a bug with managed certificates and custom domains. The workaround has been a source of much of my blog traffic. The fix is now out, but that seems to require special treatment if you use azd deploy - will blog on it shortly.

I'm listening to Mike Skinner reading The Story of the Streets and it's sooo good. Like him, I grew up imbibing 90s Easy Coast hip hop, as a white kid in the UK suburbs. His self knowledge&lack of ego make it a fascinating hear. I keep having to rewind - I like Mike www.audible.co.uk/pd/B007XFG0I...

Self reviews were a good idea before AI but are now a necessity. Don't put that burden on your co-workers. If you use AI, review it 🤖
So I'm reviewing a PR from a colleague that was written for like 95% by AI, and while it might have made his job easier, it's making mine a lot harder because it's riddled with mistakes and issues that I have to now fix, and I feel like I have to thoroughly check every single line of code twice

Golden hiring opp.
I am looking for a full-time job.

Being independent in open source for 3.5+ years has been wonderful. I've gotten done most of the high-level goals I wanted to, and miss having people & structure around me.

If you know of a role for a staff-level TypeScript+web developer, let me know! 🙂
