Andy Rourke and Dave Gahan, New York City

We’re not talking about going forward and when our team has the ball. Keep up
February 3, 2026 at 2:53 PM
Work rate?! He’s playing an average of 15 minutes a game! 😂
February 3, 2026 at 12:12 PM
Thanks for confirming. You are watching a different player
February 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM
We’re comparing Willy Gnonto to prime Gazza?
Yeah, remember El Tel having to fend off all those hostile bids from Birmingham City, hard times #lufc

Gives his all? You must be watching a different player. Perhaps when he’s on the ball, but not when he has to track back or when we’re trying to win the ball back, then he still has a lot of improvement to do. And maybe that starts in training? #lufc

It’s been happening for decades, standard practice to motivate players to bring the best of themselves to training. The ‘punishment’ is something basic like helping the coaching staff to collect the bibs or water bottles at the end of the session. Should be done in a fun way, but serial offenders…

You don’t expect me to reveal my source do you?
February 2, 2026 at 9:55 PM
WG hasn’t impressed behind the scenes, often voted worst in training by the squad, not the way to get starts.

Loan goalie you say? Before this guy joined #lufc from #mcfc he was at Motherwell where he played in every OUTFIELD position before he settled in goal. Scored two goals before deciding to stop them

Can only read ‘deal sheet’ in Phil Hay’s voice

As if I’d miss an opportunity like that

Yeah the GK position has been a head ache across numerous scouts. Must admit haven’t been following the career of Caprile
February 1, 2026 at 4:39 PM
Arteta was offered the opportunity to be thoroughly patronising and he took it with both hands #lufc
February 1, 2026 at 1:06 PM
You knew what was going to happen as soon as the ball was played out to him
February 1, 2026 at 1:04 PM
It’s a perspective that enjoyed some currency for a few weeks in October. It’s now been debunked as puerile drivel but some remain too emotionally weak to admit it #lufc

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt #lufc

Arsenal’s speed of movement, smooth passing, control of the ball and all-round flow was just too much for us. Our players looked punch-drunk in the last quarter. Adding five pairs of fresh skillful legs with a combined worth greater than our entire match day squad was ‘almost cruel’ #lufc
Chastening stuff. And a timely reminder that that there is a ton of work still to do to stay in this division. Arsenal are of course, man-for-man better than us, but it felt like we collectively froze out there... so many 4/10s. And one or two lower. #lufc
February 1, 2026 at 1:41 AM
Which ‘level’ do you mean? Premier League? Unbeaten in 9 of the previous 10 answers that. Champions League? Arsenal sit top out of 36 and #lufc CBs are not quite there yet which if you needed the evidence (most didn’t) today provided it
I don’t think either of the centre backs were as soon as we went to a 4. They don’t have the quality to play at this level when we are so open. That’s why I feel we have to play with the 3 CB’s, to cover each other
