Took my 89 year old Dad to his doctors today, things have been off with him. Making up weird stories that he whole heartedly believes are fact. Dr asked him what’s going on and he starts talking about his memories of WW2. Images with great detail that I’ve never heard him talk about before 1/

I’m not sure what the worst part of Dementia is. Watching my Mom wither away forgetting who I am who my Dad is, not being able to dress or clean herself. Or listening to my Dad as he convinces himself she’ll pull through this…. Fucking heart breaking.
