a master of all things fine. I enjoyed my first saddle of rabbit at Lutece. I was 23 years old.
André Soltner, a chef whose reverence for classic French cooking and the homey specialties of his native Alsace helped make Lutèce, in Midtown Manhattan, one of the most celebrated restaurants in the U.S., died on Saturday. He was 92.

Customers returned again and again for his impeccable French dishes at a restaurant that one food critic said “set the gold standard.”

every time I open the day, adjust the blinds a certain way
adjust my mind reflection at play
half cup full mind kinda set that way.
then dusk comes round with the sounds and colors of sound
stopping the fleeting thoughts oughts and oughtnots
sending it away. all away. sending love for another day.

Dad is 94 today. His acid tongue and Narcissistic Personality disorder was a troubling brew in my childhood. When I looked in the mirror and saw him, I would switch mirrors. I learned to forgive because of him. He was never wrong and I wasn't good enough which made me great at anything I pursued.

As countries around the world continue to pump planet-warming pollution into the skies, driving global temperatures to record levels, the financial world is racing to fund the emerging field of carbon dioxide removal, seeking both an environmental miracle and a financial windfall.

Investors are betting that they can make a dent in global warming, and healthy profits, with companies that alter the atmosphere.
