I’ve ditched windows, have switched to OnlyOffice (free, works great, no copilot crap). If companies like Affinity could release a Linux version I could look at ditching Apple too. American tech is too far up Trump’s rancid ass to be trusted.

What concerns me is political parties running things at the state level, being able to refuse to certify elections for political reasons etc.

When I see the news that Trump is basically demanding that the GOP run the elections in states where he feels he would lose, I feel very thankful that the arms-length Elections Canada organization running things here north of the border. We still have a functioning democracy.

One concern I'd have is that Google of course is an American company; if Trump starts demanding access to documents of foreign governments, I can't help but wonder if Google will just quickly and quietly comply, in order to not lose access to the president.
