There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.

💯 this
The reason why I cry listening to these old songs isn't because I want to return to the past.

It's through music that I get to bear witness to all my past selves. I can see the girl and woman I used to be. She doesn't know I'm there.

I know my future self is here, right now, watching these tears.

How I found this may be the most subtle nod to irony ever
Are you stuck in the Cycle of Abuse?Signs may seem obvious 4 some, but the truth is many never make the connection. I was belittled, rage baited, mocked &on occasion restrained, but because I never ended up in the ER, I didn’t believe I was being abused. Broken bones &bruises are not the only form.

Something is fundamentally wrong with America when millions of dollars can’t buy you a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, the respect of your children, the silence of your baby mammas, or a functional penis implant.

Let’s not forget when all was shut down during covid, national and state parks gave people a place to be. Visitors to parks swelled post covid and those numbers have not changed. Our parks are where people can be without worry and at a very low cost. And these parks are everywhere, even in cities.

@stevehofstetter.bsky.social great to see you near Baltimore last night. If you’re lucky you’ll get to the store before it closes, but you’ll need to leave now…. No, like right now.
