Stop what you're doing right now and read this. @ryanjhaas.bsky.social reports that a new hell has reached Oregon - an entire newspaper that is run by AI, poaching the identities of real journalists to look like it has a staff, and repurposing the work of reporters (including yours truly).
Last month, I fell down an absolutely bizarre rabbit hole trying to figure out who was ripping off articles from Oregon journalists.
What I found was identity theft, plagiarism and an absolutely terrifying future for local journalism led by AI scammers.

Gledelige nyheter fra NMBU. Jeg sjekket bakgrunnen til de fire eksterne. At én av dem stemte for valgt rektor var det uvanlige. Vedkommende er professor i statsvitenskap, resten direktør/næringsliv. Tabbe å utpeke eksternt medlem som kjenner sektoren, med andre ord. www.khrono.no/det-blir-val...

For tredje gang på åtte år diskuterte styret ved NMBU om de skal ha valgt eller ansatt rektor. Det endte med 6 — 5 for valgt rektor og bytte av styringsmodell.
