Time to finally share: Back in January, my manager let me go. While it was amicable, I was too embarrassed to tell anyone. Felt like a failure.
But since then, I wrote a well-received comedy sample, pitched a major studio who's reading me, & taught a workshop to 100 people.
I think I'm doing okay.

Close to 100 people came to my writing workshop at Burbank Public Library on “Screenwriting Fundamentals for the Emerging Writer”. It was sincerely a joy speaking about writing to those coming up. Thank you to the @wgfoundation.bsky.social for recommending me. This was a blast!

I told a stranger at a party about a finished sci-fi script I gave up on. She loved the idea so much, she called over her husband & asked me to retell it. Both said they’d watch this show & insisted I revisit the script.

Hi folks. I know things are tough for everyone right now so I hate to ask. I recently had surgery to get a tumor taken out - common procedure but it left me with pain that’s grounded me for the time being. With BTS work still incredibly scarce, I’ve just barely, barely gotten by. (1/3)
