When Trump rants about "free speech," what he really means is that he wants to censor anyone who points out his lies.

European (and others) who publish factual information about hate groups to counteract their propaganda are being banned from entering the USA.

In the US, he is attacking news orgs.

Happy Christmas!

I’m afraid I haven’t a jot of sympathy for striking doctors

Their demands are entirely unreasonable & demonstrate a massive failure to understand the state of the nation

Jofra Archer, cracking cricketer

Lovely line from Tuffers

‘..running the black gnat across the nose of the salmon’
December 19, 2025 at 12:08 AM
There was a bit of talk about Stokes having a sharp moment with Archer

Clearly a momentary thing at a tense time

@coldwarsteve.bsky.social what’s the best way of getting a print of The Traitors piece?

Well, the latest Epstein pictures aren’t at all utterly fucking horrifying

Finished for Christmas

Thought I'd had a bad night but at least I wasn't compelled to work over night, sorting pics out for the miserable cricket

Selective memories from Starmer's critics

Erasmus was never a Brexit issue - indeed Boris Johnson pledged we'd remain participants
December 18, 2025 at 7:57 AM
That was the worst night’s sleep I can remember

Obviously the cricket is woeful but deliberately didn’t listen but still found myself clock watching all night

Just horrendous

NOW OUTSIDE PAYWALL

A guided tour of President Trump's 33-page, $5 billion lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation

How some parts are strong, some parts are weak - and why a strict legalistic analysis will not tell the whole story.

Just read that Tony Sewell piece on the rise of Nick Fuentes

Goodness me, it's lazy stuff
December 17, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Rejoining Erasmus returns us to post-Brexit Tory position so criticism from opposition that it's "pro-EU ideology" tedious

At Brexit referendum, Vote Leave had no official position on it

In Jan 2020 Boris Johnson said: "There is no threat to the Erasmus scheme, we will continue to participate"

Archer has been brilliant in this session

Finally over the wicket
December 17, 2025 at 12:23 AM
Now take Carse off
December 17, 2025 at 12:22 AM
I thought Stokes was right to stick with Carse

Bowling like a drain but Aussie batsmen were losing concentration

Lulled in obvs

TNT’s test match graphics are so wretched too

Designed by someone who never watches cricket

Got on the wrong train & ended up in Tulse Hill

So, dropped into the Railway Tavern

Quite a joy

Great pub, filled with people, chatter & life

Live music coming & bar music at a sensible volume for talking

What pubs should be
