Wednesday's child is good to fry
Thursday's child is best in pie.

Why is it called an octave when the eighth note is part of the *next* octave. Or heptave as it should be ;)

I've made some snowflakes in Inkscape, aren't they pretty! YouTube is awash with instructional videos on how to do this and Inkscape is free, so let's see your snowflakes :)

Suggested videos here docs.google.com/document/d/1... (this assumes familiarity w Inkscape. Might do one for Abs Beginners)

Having a great first day as the OBR's website manager. Got all of the content queued up as a scheduled post, ready for a big day, but all of the work is done now.

Now before I put my feet up, time to take a big gulp of water and check the latest news.

This may seem overstated but the right to repair community have discovered how endemic security risk is with “smart devices” ; they typically port much more data than ever will be be necessary to service providers. They are also often poorly protected. By default assume they’re a cyber risk.

1. Don't ever let a chiropractor near your neck.
2. I'd also recommend not letting them anywhere near the entirety of your body.
3. Or your wallet.
So many well-educated people I know are unaware of this about chiropractors and I’m always too embarrassed / polite / English to mention it. Like when I bite my tongue when people talk about “alternative” medicine for serious, terminal illness

What magical tech is behind me being able to click a coloured button then fill bits in with that colour? The black & white images are SVGs so I assume that's driving things but is this a really complicated thing to code?

This is just so grim. Students deserve to be taught by experts, not be expected to settle for AI. It is so disheartening to add this to the list of ways in which staff expertise is devalued, undermined or sidelined by institutions across the sector.
