Someone saw me knitting at my daughter, swim meet and told me she wants to learn how to knit to save money. And when I stopped laughing I showed her how much my yarn cost.

Knitting friends: I’ve started using the knit companion app which I absolutely love, but I can’t find a way to zoom on it! What am I missing? My middle age eyes are struggling trying to read lace charts on my phone.

You know what I love about having an all female medical staff in an ER? When you’re a woman and you tell them your pain is a four on a scale of one to 10 they immediately say. “Oh my gosh that’s bad!!” Also, don’t step on a ground hornet nest if you can avoid it.

So who on Instagram has been contacted about creating an AI assistant? Because they literally called me and walked me through the process and it feels so creepy. They told me it will boost my profile in searches. I will not be publishing the ai and will live with never being an influencer.

My kid getting perfect academic achievements in all areas (one of two in her grade level) : gets a piece of paper with a gold foil star. Kid who got perfect attendance: gets a giant heavy medal and certificate. Good immune systems are worth more than anything else I guess?

At a swim meet with three pools. The announcer just said we are only using one pool for the meet because using more than one would mean the meet would be over too quickly and “nobody wants that”. You sure dude? You sure we don’t want that at 530pm on a Tuesday night for 12 and under swimmers?

Had my first taste of being a “sports parent” this weekend. Outdoor swim meet. Two days, 8 hours each day of waiting around for her to swim in two heats, each lasting around 1-2 minutes.
I think I prefer her wanting to be a drummer.

For everyone complaining about parents begging people to move seats thinking it’s parents just being lazy or cheap: for about the 3rd time in my life I’ve checked in for a flight the night before and the airline has scattered my family apart from each other, despite us selecting seats together.
