I am new here. I like gardens, dogs (particularly my own), music, I play the flute and dabble in piano. My natural habitat is on the couch under a blanket. Here is my hound, in a brazen attempt at engagement farming

🚀 @greenparty.org.uk has grown from 58,000 members in December to 86,000 today.

Six years ago, consistently polling around 2%. Now, above 10%.

Green councillors leapt from fewer than 200 to nearly 900.

Green MPs from one to four.

This is the beginning.

Good and bad news for Zack Polanski: the Green conference was a joy, but now hopes are stratospheric | Adam Ramsay
Members loved hearing from a leader who boldly reflects their views and isn’t afraid of the rightwing press. How far can he take the party?, says journalist and Green party member Adam Ramsay

My mum has a ct scan to “rule out cancer” tomorrow. I’m listening to her coughing and feeling pretty certain it’s not going to rule out anything. Dread.

It’s brain aneurysm awareness month. 10 years ago my wee mammy had a brain haemorrhage. Local A&E sent her home with paracetamol so she didn’t get medical attention for three days. God bless her GP who sent her immediately for a scan and the surgeon who operated for nine hours to save her.

Carrots, peas, lettuce, garlic and squash all hate me. The tomatoes so far are doing ok. 🇬🇧🌱

My veg growing has been a bit of a fail this year but the flowers have managed to grow despite me. Gladioli, cosmos, dahlias and sweet peas currently still trucking along.

Gardening fails this year: powdery mildew did for my peas; slugs did for most of my dahlias and lupins; carrots either didn’t germinate or I forgot to water them; garlic was pathetic; wildflower patch is wild but very unflowery 😂
Feel free to share yours 💕 🌱🇬🇧

Do you know what makes me sick? The BBC used Nadiya, to claim diversity, they basked in her brilliance and play-acted at multiculturalism. Now she’s standing up for her values and what’s right, they’ve dropped her like a hot potato. So, so disgusting.

The BBC’s bias on Palestine and cancellation of Nadiya’s cooking shows is making me really, really angry. We are not a police state. People can advocate against human rights violations and be platformed on the telly.

Borders starting to fill out nicely. Lavender hidcote, painted sage, cosmos, petunias and Erigeron. Also got some verbena growing but it’s small still. 🇬🇧🌱
