📜 The Wild Man of the Revolution, Samuel Adams.

I wrote an essay about Samuel Adams and why I think he was punk rock. I'm convinced he'd love the band Fugazi and that he'd sing their lyrics while tossing tea in Boston harbor.

Sooo excited to be watching Death By Lightning this morning!

It is the story of how James Garfield, the 20th President and veteran of the Civil War, was killed by an insane man, Charles Guiteau.

@hcrichardson.bsky.social There is apparently a term for the phenomena you described in your video Thursday night about gerrymandering watering down districts enough to make them vulnerable. It's called "dummymandering"

> In the past few years, arXiv has been flooded with papers. Generative AI / large language models have added to this flood by making papers – especially papers not introducing new research results – fast and easy to write.

@timkellogg.me I can't remember where, but I recall you recently discussing models reasoning in non-english languages.

I came across a paper that suggests models have different biases depending on what language they're using. Interesting implications!

If AI follows the same behavior of previous bubbles, we're in the frenzy where financiers throw money at almost anything, creating a bubble that pops and leads to a period of maturity where lasting companies can be built

This is the Perez worldview applied to the current AI bubble
