A7: Think about the Carnegie libraries of the past - and how impactful they were. My mom was raised in one - and I'm a reader/librarian because of her. The future of libraries is human-centered; we need these palaces for the ppl more than ever; I hope more people GET LOUD for libraries #TLSKyChat

A7: I have had DAs tell me that we won't need libraries in the future because everything will be done online and I've begged to disagree with them. We need the human connection that is found in our libraries! #TLSkyChat

A7: I hope we never lose the value of reading aloud to our students. This is something I refuse to give up in my elementary library classes. We get into such great conversations reading picture books! #TLSkyChat

A6: I am promoting everything we do on my library Facebook page. We just finished up an Iditarod unit and I had my students create sleds of their own out of Legos. They LOVED this! #TLSkyChat

A5: A stereotype I'd like to get rid of is that the library needs to be a quiet place. While it is at times, it's also a buzzing, busy place as well and Iove hearing my students excited about things we're doing! #TLSkyChat

#TLSkyChat A1: After being diagnosed with a seizure disorder my junior year in college, my neurologist felt that my English teaching major may not be the best for my health. I ended up with a library science minor which lead me to my MLIS and the rest is history! Everything happens for a reason!
