Advancements in agricultural tech allow for productn of biomass or green oil at lower cost than extracting traditional oil. The shift would stimulate global economy & investments in emission-negative biomass refining tech, cutting millions tons of emissions each year

again, fwiw, I think the issue is that unless there is real pullback by the admin, ICE is going to kill more people, escalating the crisis.
The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.
