so I've seen Sinners twice and only just now realized that both brothers are played by the same actor

We played Rapture Protocol, the first Cinematic Adventure for the Evolved Alien RPG. How did it go? #ttrpg www.roleplayletters.com/2026/01/27/a...

Rewatched Sinners. That’s still a damn movie.

I read The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. That was an excellent sci-fi romance without almost any of the speculative bs time travel tends to spiral into. Loved the real world connection, it really added weight to the fiction. #booksky

I rarely watch movies now. Saw One Battle After Another tonight and that was a good movie.

I promised myself I would not make the gym part of my personality, but I have to say this: I was dreading this work week, but working out in the morning before getting to the office has significantly helped in dealing with all the things. Same function as looking forward to band practice

Why do I have a need to design a #ttrpg based on Type O Negative (it is because first Green Man and then Love You To Death came on and everything they made is so visual and I'm a visual person)

So being not very technically apt I thought routing my traffic through Cloudflare would slow access to my sites, but the upside would be traffic filtering according to my preferences. I was not prepared for how much faster everything became. (I'm in Europe & I'm hosted on US west coast)

I’m working on multiple #ttrpg projects about intimacy and romance. Catching up on what the science says about all this (and, well, me). …I can say I’m not okay with being labeled an “erotic role-player”

I wrote about MAC Attack, the @bastionland.bsky.social mech miniatures wargame. It's good! Some of the fastest and most economical rules I've ever played with, yet retaining flavor and color. www.roleplayletters.com/2026/01/16/m... #wargaming #miniatures

Friday night with @bastionland.bsky.social MAC Attack. First time I’m fielding these miniature mecha. #wargaming #miniatures

I'm thinking about trying a group #ttrpg using solo play rules, so basically playing without a GM. Any experience or recommendations? Looking at the new Alien RPG rules with this in mind.

FInally got my personal websites on Cloudflare's proxies and started filtering traffic for (mainly AI) bots. Very satisfying. Perhaps the next time I need to pay for extra bandwidth it's because of humans reading my stuff.

I did three workouts at the gym this week, after decades of no gym, just minimal body weight exercise at home (pushups, squats). Still a little hard to see what my routine could be like, but at this point it just feels good to be working the whole body more actively again

We released a micro version of the #ttrpg x #larp we’re working on: soft-heresies.itch.io/date

I finally played Final Girl. It’s been on the shelf waiting for the right solo play time for, uh, a couple of years I think. It was pretty good, might play again. Looks fiddly, but in practice plays very fast once you’re done with the setup. I died, naturally, but saved five dudes

Damn I wish there was a way to play this game on modern hardware. I still have some PSPs around but can’t be bothered to figure out if/how they work (do I have the batteries and chargers and memory cards)

I read The God of the Woods by Liz Moore because Taylor read it. Good thriller with exceptional sense of place and time. #booksky

Last night I invited three people, taped up my bedroom window to keep even the scant winter light out, and proceeded to spend an hour in complete silence in the darkness, thinking about death. #ttrpg www.roleplayletters.com/2026/01/06/g...

Tonight I playtested my #ttrpg design about being dead and remembered at a graveyard. You meditate in pitch black in complete silence half the time. It’s a riff off The Skeletons by @jmstar.bsky.social We expected to cry, and did, a bit, but for the most part it felt comforting and put us at ease.

Having idly thought about it for the past couple of years, I have finally gone to the gym. It’s been, what, 20 years? I’m 47. I expect not to be able to function tomorrow.
