When I worked at Sony we were incentivised to submit as many patents as possible. You would receive a bonus for every one filed, and as your manager I got a bonus as well.

The Milky Way's gravitational influence extends very far.
ULAS J0015+01 is the most distant star still bound to our galaxy, at 900,000 lightyears away.
For reference, that's about a third of the way to Andromeda!
