It's as bad in the UK, but there was a point over the weekend when @jimsorenson.bsky.social and I were talking, taking in the diversity of the crowd, and it dawned on us how much a happy gathering like TFN is not just a respite from, but really an act of resistence in the face of the evils of today.
My feed is full of TFN emotion love unplugged & coping...

The next angst-y resist, outrage, face punching, etc.

They seemed to go over pretty well; straight after the panel, someone came and commissioned one of them, a few people asked for permission to do fan art, and more just came and said so.
