This country could benefit from a long form debate series, TV show or podcast or hear me out: two people taking as much time as needed to make, back up, and evaluate their points with the goal of getting to a consensus instead of walking away more divided. I know it’s a pipe dream but let me dream.

It is obvious that questions of character no longer work to disqualify someone, but nuance and strategy seem to also be off putting to some of these decision makers. Everyone wants problems to be nails so they can justify hiring only hammers.

Soooo, doesn't Charlie Kirk pride himself on his religiosity and and recruitment of pastors to do the bidding of the ultra-right. Doesn't seem to fit with the frat-boy like behaviors of Hegseth.
