I’ve said this b4, but here’s a little inside baseball from a former Republican: Back in my GOP days, we Republicans would privately laugh at how Democrats would never go to the mat to win. We always knew Democrats wouldn’t fight to the death politically.

Last night proved Republicans right again.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

He has ties to Russian intelligence — and Trump’s businesses.

Republicans have had full control of the House, Senate and White House for 291 days.

Yet, not a single one has been spent lowering costs or protecting health care.

Instead, Republicans created a health care crisis, shut down the government and went on vacation for 7 weeks.
