And keeping it real: that Bond note is not coming from the lower level execs who actually understand story and love the property. That is a Bezos-adjacent nitwit who has only watched the Craig films, and probably just the last one.

Also boy do I feel for Bond writer Steven Knight and director Denis Villeneuve. What a classically silly exec note to be trapped having to answer.

I suspect the fact that Amazon seems to think James Bond is one long continuous story is not going to reassure fans who were upset about Bond being handed over to the online equivalent of a mall.

The answer is that you don’t worry about it. James Bond’s incarnations are like Batman’s. They each have their own continuity.

(Note: Roger Moore’s James Bond and Adam West’s Batman exist in the same universe.)
Report: Amazon Is Struggling to Think How to Bring James Bond Back From the Dead
Daniel Craig's permanent exit in 'No Time to Die' is apparently causing issues for the next 'Bond' film.

Truth!
A reminder that this anti-trans panic is 100% bullshit and exactly none of our country’s problems are related to someone expressing their gender identity and everyone who isn’t a hate-filled weirdo knows it.

Erica Deuso!!
Downingtown is nearish to Philly, but that area is *Definitely* farmland, too. This is amazing.
Erica Deuso is the first openly transgender person to be elected mayor in Pennsylvania.

The longtime Democratic advocate defeated Republican Rich Bryant Tuesday to serve as the next mayor of Downingtown.

AOC on Schumer: What I think is so impressive about what ZM accomplished tonight and the movement of New Yorkers accomplished is that he not only had to defeat a republican but a Republican and the old guard of the Democratic Party at the same time, and he still won resoundingly.

AOC on CNN says Mamdani teaches Dems to "lean into the promise of our party," calls Trump "the handmaiden to billionaires."

CNN polls saying 86% of Mamdani voters voted for him rather than against someone else. Cuomo voters split half and half for him and against someone else.
