PBS American Masters is about to premier "Art Spiegelman: Disaster is My Muse" about the cartoonist, most famous for "Maus". Best anecdote from producer Alicia Sams at the Wisconsin Film Festival screening: when proposed as the father of graphic novels, Art demands a paternity test. Recommended!

In Minneapolis phantomchorus.com is performing a mixed live action / puppetry stage adaptation of "Dealing with Dragons". They have a streaming option for $8 on either Friday 1/31 (7pm CST) or Sunday 2/1 (2pm CST). We organized a watch party for today, and had a lovely time. Recommended!

It's been an exciting week for US rocket companies: blue origin made orbit on their first New Glen launch, and later that same day SpaceX caught a starship booster. Still some R&D to do; team blue didn't land their booster, and spacex blew up their new orbiter.

The 2022 Wisconsin low budget indie flick "Hundreds of Beavers" will be back in Madison at the Barrymore for one night only, Thursday 12/4. It's hysterically funny - I've never heard a movie audience laugh so much, and I highly recommend it to fans of silent movies, video games, and slapstick.
