This isn’t great news with YoY worldwide sales decline. China is an overcapacity EV market and it’s a knife fight to 0% margin against BYD and others that have scale. THIS is why he’s desperate for robotaxi and ClownBot hype.

Any time I hear the question,

“What private company do you wish was public?”

My answer is “LEGO”.

This is why. (This is this year’s Christmas haul at our house. Importantly, none of these sets are for the kids).

On what is surely my final appearance on Motley Fool Money for 2024 host Ricky Mulvey let me prattle on about Star Wars, talked a little JWN privatization, and closed it out with covered call considerations.

It’s a holiday grab bag - Enjoy!

I'm a live music junkie (and have seen a **LOT** of shows). For me, YouTube is a treasure trove. Today I found out that someone curated four-and-a-half hours of live outtakes and cover songs from one of my all-time FAVOURITE bands. Here we go!

I’m a staunch Garth Turner fan.

I find him unwavering in desire to see individuals make sound financial choices.

I think him unafraid of speaking his mind even if it costs him (see his political career).

I encourage adding him to your daily reading. Start here.

Every American Thanksgiving myself and a buddy go out for a leisurely lunch (we both work for primarily American companies where, understandably, not much is happening today.)

This year we went to Turkish Flame in Kitchener, ON. This was lunch. I may qualify as “legally dead” now.

Since we’re apparently going to do this, let’s do so as soon as possible. I look forward to the incoming administration’s attempt to blame Biden/Harris for the $5-to-$6/gal gas prices a year from now.

Given the U.S. needs to import heavy crude, it’s highly likely that most, if not all, of such a tariff would be passed through to refiners and ultimately consumers. 🤷🏻‍♂️

New app, who 'dis?

Wandered over from the former bird app/Elon dumpster fire.

Will probably continue on both platforms for now, but hoping this place is more of what Twitter used to be.

Meanwhile, here's a dog pic.
