Wouldn't it be a more efficient use of limited air traffic control resources to prioritize commercial traffic over private, and impact fewer people? Oh yeah, can't inconvenience the billionaires and corporate execs.

"I have a decent fluency in LLMs, and they have utility, but the absurd degree of over-hype, the way they're being forced on everyone, and the insistence on ignoring the many valid critiques about them make it very difficult to focus on legitimate uses where they might add value."

Given Pam Bondi's refusal to answer important questions, she should be held in contempt of Congress. But, oh yeah, it would require Republican votes to do that.

I am enormously proud to have Alex Padilla @padilla.senate.gov as my senator (and fellow MIT alum). This interview clearly explains why: www.nytimes.com/2025/10/04/m...

This is about as un-American as anything I have seen lately. Media freedom ratings for the US, never as good as they should be, should be flashing red right now.

How much will be spent changing signage, letterhead, websites, etc from Defense to War? Will agencies like DIA and DTIC need renaming? Will terms like DEFCON need to change? What happens if the courts decide Trump didn’t have the authority to do this? This is the opposite of government efficiency.

Federal and local law enforcement wearing masks is just plain unamerican. It’s a cowards move, and shows the fact that the kinds of deportations happening and the methods are, shameful and unpopular.

This makes the potential corruption clear: those supporting the GENIUS Act are putting $ ahead of their principles.
"'If Dems bail on [the GENIUS Act], they will get 0 dollars going forward,' said Avichal Garg, a managing partner at the venture capital firm Electric Capital, which focuses on digital asset technology like cryptocurrency. 'It would be political suicide for them not to support it.'"
A secret group chat reveals that Democratic strategists plan to support the pro-crypto GENIUS Act for political gain, despite acknowledging it’s a Trump corruption giveaway. www.levernews.com/dems-crypto-...

This confirms my suspicions that the US H-1B program is seriously broken, both with respect to bringing in "the best and the brightest" and the path to permanent residency that follows, often involving what amounts to several years of indentured servitude to their current employer.
