Now why would Trump be so often on the side of sex traffickers?
NEW: The White House intervened on behalf of accused sex trafficker Andrew Tate during a federal investigation.

“It was so offensive to what we’re all here to do, to uphold the law and protect the American people,” one official involved said.
The White House Intervened on Behalf of Accused Sex Trafficker Andrew Tate During a Federal Investigation
Federal authorities were chided for seizing electronic devices from Tate and his brother, and told to return them, records and interviews show. Experts said the intervention was highly inappropriate.

Today is a good day to remember something Tony Benn didn't say:

The way the government treats refugees is very instructive because it shows you how they would treat the rest of us if they thought they could get away with it.

There are many factors at play in how the discourse of UK political governments became detached from (geo)political reality, but a key aspect is in how both Labour and Conservatives came to assert supposed Brexit benefits that much of the rest of the country knows are pure fantasy

#bbcpm I'm old enough to remember when respectable politicians didn't pander to the worst instincts of the public, but claimed the moral high ground, e.g. on the death penalty.

I find it really hard to believe that Trump still finds ways to lower the bar. Think of the worst thing he could do, and tomorrow he'll do something even worse.

Why is he still alive?!

I'm not sure if others have noticed this, but interesting that one of the Prescott criticisms of the BBC is based on those of the 'History Reclaimed' group, which is also associated with the 'Restore Trust' group's attacks on & so far unsuccessful attempts to take control of the National Trust. 1/3
