As I started reading this article I immediately thought back to the late 60s--then he described exactly what I experienced on Telegraph Avenue when the deputies were shooting at us with buckshot and helicopters were dropping CS gas on us!

As an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, I had to dodge sheriff's deputies firing buckshot and tear gas, National Guard helicopters dispersing tear gas, and changed intro to physical anthropology lecture room because of a fire-bombing, but I never had to dodge alligators!😱
