My latest on the suicide crisis within U.S. construction, an industry that heavily relies on an immigrant workforce that is currently being targeted by ICE raids:
Construction workers, many of whom are immigrant & Hispanic workers, have higher rates of suicide than other industries, Jill Webb reports. Advocates are leading discussions on mental health as part of“toolbox talks,” which are usually for addressing typical construction site safety practices.

NEW: ProPublica has found multiple cases of women with underlying health conditions who died when they couldn’t access abortions.

Tierra Walker, a 37-year-old mother, was told by doctors there was no emergency before preeclampsia killed her.
