The Nazi booing at the Anzac dawn service during Welcome to Country should be contextualised with David Littleproud saying the cruel No campaign against Aboriginal recognition and respect is his proudest political achievement. The Liberal Nationals have shown us all who they are. Believe them.

This is a great article to share with your friends, family etc - on your FB and messaging groups.

We need more Australians to know about these fossil fuel, libertarian & extreme Christian groups which are disinforming us for their own interests #auspol > www.smh.com.au/national/cop...

The Advance propaganda machine is aimed at ordinary Australians but backed by some of our wealthiest – and has links to a right-wing US foundation.

At the press conference where Price talked about making Australia great again, she also again attacked an Indigenous breastfeeding research grant as “ridiculous”

I wrote about how a Project 2025-like report lead to this Liberal attack earlier this week: www.crikey.com.au/2025/04/09/i...

Australians: to put the swing against Trump and the Republicans in Florida into perspective, if there was a swing this size against Trump fangirl Peter Dutton and his Liberal/National/LNP MPs in our upcoming election, only *3* coalition MPs would remain… so I reckon we give it a red hot go. #auspol

How obnoxious is this comment reported by @theguardian.com Peter Dutton wanting to live in Sydney rather than Canberra, as Scott Morrison also did. It oozes contempt for the job of leading the country. #auspol

Fascinating view from the U.K.on consequences of Australian election. #auspol
Australian elections called for the 3rd May - really interesting ones to watch.

If Labor win there - and they're just ahead in the polls - and Carney wins in Canada it will help check the global rise of the right and give Starmer some more long-term international allies.

Peter Dutton is playing the Trump game of not saying too much about his agenda before the election because no sane person would vote for it and Australia is full of sane people, do not vote for this fucking guy, put the Liberals LAST. #auspol

If the dogs in my Sydney neighbourhood could vote I’d be massively influential in delivering #auspol information. But everybody I’m close to is in the US & Canada. So I see Australia’s election as a cautionary tale: Carney’s calm, intelligent strength vs the destructively cruel Trump regime.

#sundayshot raises issues in a way that makes me think about ways I can help to solve problems. i.e. that streaming services aren’t supporting #australianmusic . We can support how the Art Gallery of NSW is folding local live music into its mission brilliantly and in an incredibly interesting way.

Fascinating #SundayShot putting Australian national security into a global context. I appreciate having it as an audio podcast, being able to concentrate on listening carefully. Such a relief to hear something conversationally intelligent.

To hell with Spotify wrapped. I’ve listened a great deal, with wonder and joy, to @emmaswiftsings.bsky.social Bob Dylan album and Cat Power’s recreation of Bob Dylan’s 1966 concert, which was sublime at the Sydney Opera House, and many Duke Ellington albums. All from CD’s I’ve bought with real $$$.

I’ve added a lot of followers without posting anything yet, maybe because my “fella” icon demonstrates my support for Ukraine. My profile lists my interests in music and architecture but I’m here to be guided and informed by smart Australians and it’s reassuring to hear from @vanbadham.bsky.social
