I don't know if the schedule change is good or bad but when MLS says 92% of fans support it, you have to wonder if they're basing the decision on junk data or hoping they can trick fans about what fans think

Crew have 56.4% to 43.6% advantage in possession. That's very Crew, yes, but recall that in Game 1, FCC had enough of the ball (47.5%) and the passing (481 total passes) to wear down the right side of the Crew's defense (Herrera, Moreira, it's a law firm!)
