I'm fairly used to transcription software mangling Section 504 or IDEA, but today's erroneous transcription of the "child-find" requirement as the child *finance* requirement is a gem. Can't start investing too early! (Unless you receive disability benefits, and the government caps your savings...)

Dear Autism Researchers: It is 2025. Don't use "Burden" in the titles of your autism articles unless you INTEND to be a jerk.

Curious about how autism intervention researchers define and measure "problem behavior"? We examined 102 intervention studies with young autistic children and found that only 1/3 of studies give a reason for targeting the behavior they aim to reduce, 1/4

Currently employers can pay workers with disabilities less than $7.25/hr, and bosses report paying as little as 5 cents an hour.

I was not given thumbs so I could “respond to your email.” I was given thumbs so that I can help cats and dogs scratch that itchy spot on their back that they’re struggling to reach.

This. It shouldn't be a guest lecture or a one-off training session or a project; universities need to be resourcing and investing in Neurodiversity Studies, and neurodivergent inclusion, for the long term.
Atm i'm being asked almost every week to give more uni talks, mainly as there are neurodivergent students interested in neurodiversity theory everywhere. It's nice to be asked, but would be much nicer if humanities departments actually advertised paid, neurodiversity themed lectureships.
