It is unreasonable to require perfection in a political candidate.
That said, a nazi tattoo is fully fucking disqualifying. In no world is it ok to conflate a nazi tattoo with the idea that someone doesn't meet my every political philosophy.
There are ideological lines that can't be crossed.

Did you know that some animal shelters have reading programs for kids? Kids can volunteer to go in and read to the pets. Helps socialize the pets to kids, and kids find an easy way to enjoy reading (for those who don't already love it).
