As a Christian, I think it's weird and inappropriate to publicly hope your spouse converts to Christianity. That's a private conversation for home. It also brings attention to the fact that your spouse's most immediate example of Christianity is you and it doesn't take. Yikes.

Ive been struggling with this too, so stretch to give to both while I can. My dilemma is what about small churches, who really do use the tithe to help pay the pastor and keep the lights on, but are also helping the community? All of us aren’t at mega churches where the pastor is in a Rose Royce.
I don’t tithe at a church but I rather pay my tithes to my community by giving back. It’s what I believe those tithes should be used for anyway so I bypass the middle man
